The first step is simple

Send us what you already have.

A clear source drawing helps. A hand sketch with dimensions may also be enough for the initial review.

  • Existing drawings as PDF, image or CAD files
  • Dimensions with units, stating whether they are internal or external
  • Material, wall thickness and important interface dimensions
  • Required deliverables: 3D model, drawings or both
  • Intended use and preferred completion date

Still missing some details?

No problem. We review your documents and ask specific follow-up questions. Unclear dimensions or functions are agreed with you before design work begins.

Please only send documents you are authorised to share for this work. Confidential projects should be discussed with us beforehand.

Before you get started

Frequently asked questions about our CAD service.

How much does a 3D model or drawing cost?

The work required depends on the part, source documents and deliverables. We review your enquiry and quote a fixed price for the agreed scope.

Can I use the files to arrange manufacturing myself?

Yes, if suitable manufacturing data is included in the agreed deliverables. We clarify requirements such as tolerances, bend radii and file formats with you. A STEP file alone does not replace a manufacturing review.

Is manufacturing included?

The CAD service covers the agreed digital design and documentation. Manufacturing of sheet-metal enclosures and parts can be offered separately through partners. See MBW Blechform for details.

Can you also prepare sheet-metal flat patterns?

This can be agreed separately after review. Suitable flat patterns require material and bending-process details or specifications from your manufacturer.

Your drawing is the starting point.

Send us your documents and briefly describe the CAD files you need.
